Well, the first official Florida Fly-In at our home is in the bag. I hope all of you who attended had as good a time as I did. Angela and I are looking forward to next year! Hey everyone! It is that time of year where we start to get that winter itch.
Cabin fever. Even though we are having the event later this year, it is
guaranteed to be a fantastic event. Here is the skinny:

WHEN: Fly-In: May 14-16 2010 Fri-Sun (weekend before the annual Spring Fling in Jax)
There will be clinics available between the Florida Fly-In and the Spring Fling
starting Monday, May 17th and ending Thursday, May 20th. If you have interest in
attending these clinics, check out the link here, and reserve your slot now. Each
day will have a limit of 5 riders in the AM, and 5 in the PM for the 4 day clinic.

WHAT: A great 3 day vacation / hydrofoil event, just for fun!
WHY: If you have to ask, then you really need to come!
REGISTRATION: We are heavily encouraging online only registration for this event, so if you
wish to come, please get it done online prior to showing up! We want to
eliminate the crappy job of sitting at the desk while everyone else is having
a good time. The good news is, if you forget, you can whip your laptop out in
the parking lot, register, and you are all set. Just remember to bring your
portable printer so we can see proof of registration, and USHA membership.
This is our insurance. If you come to the event uninsured, we will
beat you. If you insist on registering at the event, there is an additional $25
fee for late registration. thanks.
To participate in this event, be sure to sign up for one of the 5 membership
options on the list at the web link below. You can't get in a boat or foil if you
are a supporting member. Grass Roots is OK.
COST OF THE EVENT: Everyone who comes must pay the $50 fee which goes to fuel for the
boats, and any other expenses.
BRING YOUR BOAT IF YOU LIKE: If you bring your boat, you will not pay for fuel that goes into your boat. Just
collect your receipts for the three day event, and you will be reimbursed on
Sunday. Plus you get to ski behind your own boat! All participating boat
providers must carry a minimum of 500K Insurance, as per the sanctioning
rules. Following these rules is how we get insured.
WHERE TO STAY: If you want to stay off site, we have two host hotels - The Holiday Inn Express,
where you will find new rooms, continental breakfast, and superb intelligence
after staying there. You've seen the commercials. $109 per night.

The other Hotel is the Hampton Inn which is right across the courtyard, and is
$99 per night for these accommodations. Their addresses are 202 and 200
Cypress Gardens Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL 33880 Phone is (863) 299-9251.
They are both approximately 10 minutes walking distance, or about 2 minutes
driving, right next to Out Back Steakhouse and Red Lobster.
If you would like to stay with us, here is the deal. You can stay on the floor,
you can stay in a bed, or you can bring your motor home. Staying at the house
can be much cheaper than staying at the hotel, especially if you are not picky
where you crash. See the options below:

virtually unlimited room on the floor, or in a tent out back. First come, first
serve! We accept all major credit cards, as well as Pay pal. Pre pay prior to
coming. You can pick up your wrist band upon entering the site. We have 4
restrooms, so anyone who comes to the event may use them, just be neat and
wipe the seat when done boys! This will be a family type affair, and we
welcome all who wish to come and enjoy the peace and camaraderie of this
